Modern Heroes Are the Ukrainian People

The event was organized by the TransformWISE intellectual agency, which sponsored the unique project “Ukrainians. Progress”. This is a series of comics about heroic Ukrainians. Illustrated stories depicting the unity and humanity of the people who live under the blue and yellow flag. Ukrainian superheroes who, contrary to the whims of the russian invaders, inventively approach the opposition for victory.

The “Semantic Corps” team created 12 comics of the series “Ukrainians. Progress”. The first issue of “The Sky is Waiting” consists of four stories of heroic deeds of Ukrainian defenders. The course of events in the sketch is based on real events, consists of stories about the brave deeds of Ukrainian border guards, air forces, ground forces and strategic decisions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny.

The project is unique because during the war it is important to understand the topic of the semantic dimension of the russian-Ukrainian war, to rethink the heroic deeds of our people, to tell society certain narratives, and, of course, to create the basis for our victory.

The author of the script is Konstantin Shtyfurak, a director who is currently defending our country in the ranks of the Armed Forces, a fighter of the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. The author of the idea is Denys Bloshchynskyi, the founder of the Foundation for Social Innovations “From the Country to Ukraine” and the strategic communications initiative “Semantic Corps”. The authors plan to release 2 more series of comics, which will be distributed to families of defenders and IDPs. Those interested will also have the opportunity to ORDER a graphic novel.

Participants in the discussion: Lyubko Deresh (Ukrainian writer), Denys Bloshchynskyi (author of ideas for the series of comics “Ukrainians. Progress”, founder of the “Semantic Corps” initiatives, founder of the Foundation for Social Innovations “From the Country to Ukraine”). And also invited guests in Q&A format. Moderator: Volodymyr Pavelko (founder of the intellectual agency TransformWISE, co-founder of the Global Cyber Cooperative Center GC3).
